You can keep your your child's account more secure with two-factor authentication.

If the child already has a Game Center account, but not an Apple ID, you don't need to create a new account for them. Just search for their nickname instead.

iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

  1. Go to Settings > [your name] > Family Sharing > Add Family Member > Create a Child Account > Next.

  4. Enter the requested information for your payment method and tap Next. If you don't have a payment method on file, you need to add one.

On your Mac with macOS Catalina:

  1. Choose Apple menu  > System Preferences > Family Sharing.
  2. Click the Add button , then enter the child's Game Center nickname.

On your Mac with macOS Mojave or earlier:

  1. Choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click iCloud.
  2. Click Manage Family.
  3. Click the Add button , then enter the child's Game Center nickname.

The child gets a message to enter their Game Center password. After they enter their password, the child is part of your Family Sharing group.
